What it is

Get your whole backyard back

Pool removal reclaims unused yard space. We demolish above-ground or in-ground pools, fill and compact properly to prevent future settling, grade for drainage, and restore the area with sod or a new landscape so you gain usable ground instead of a maintenance burden.

An unused pool is not a feature, it is lost yard. It fences off the best part of the backyard, drains money into chemicals, cleaning and repairs, and raises safety and insurance concerns every season it sits there. And an aging pool can put buyers off rather than draw them in.

We remove above-ground and in-ground pools, disconnect the services, demolish and haul the structure, then fill in clean engineered material compacted in lifts so the ground never sinks. Graded, topsoiled and finished with sod or a new landscape, the space comes back as usable yard, as if the pool was never there.

Assessment & permits

We assess the pool and your goals to recommend the right approach, full removal or a partial fill, then handle the permits and utility locates that pool removal legally requires. Getting the method and the paperwork right up front keeps the whole project smooth and compliant.

Pool Removal FAQ

Pool removal, answered

What homeowners ask most about removing, filling and reclaiming the space from an unused pool.

Still have questions?

Talk to a real person who plans projects like yours every week. No pressure, no obligation.

Most U.S. municipalities require a permit for pool removal and fill. We handle the paperwork and inspections.

Cost depends on the pool type and size, access for machinery, whether it is a full or partial removal, and how you want the area restored. Above-ground pools are the least, while full in-ground removals with landscaping are quoted per project. You get a clear, itemized estimate before we start.

Not when filled properly. We compact fill in lifts and grade for drainage specifically to prevent settling.

A partial fill breaks up and perforates the pool bottom, then fills over it, which is faster and cheaper but must be disclosed to future buyers and limits building on the spot. A full removal takes out the entire structure so the ground is unrestricted. We recommend the right one for your plans.

You can plant, sod and use it as lawn immediately. For future structures, we advise on the fill method needed.

For many buyers an unused or aging pool is a liability, not a feature, so removing it and reclaiming a clean, usable yard often widens your buyer pool and removes an objection. A full removal, properly documented, is the most reassuring to buyers.

Yes, both. In-ground removal is more involved but we handle demolition, fill and full restoration for either type.

Typically a few days to a week depending on pool type, access and restoration scope.
