Pool Removal & Lawn Restoration

The in-ground pool had not been swum in for years, but it still demanded money and attention every season: chemicals, a pump that kept failing, and a cover that never quite kept the leaves out. Worse, it swallowed the entire backyard, leaving no real lawn and a constant safety worry with young children in the house. The family did not want a pool. They wanted their garden back, and they wanted it done in a way that would not slowly sink or turn into a soft spot years later.

The key to a pool fill-in that lasts is what happens below the surface. We fully demolished the shell rather than just collapsing it, broke out the base so water can never be trapped, and backfilled in engineered, compacted lifts so the ground behaves like undisturbed soil instead of settling into a hollow. The finished level was graded to shed water away from the house, then dressed with quality topsoil, fresh sod and clean planting borders to reclaim the whole footprint as lawn.

The backyard is open, level and safe, and the family uses it every day the way they never used the pool. There is no fenced-off hazard, no monthly upkeep bill and, because the fill was compacted in lifts, no sinking or soft spots. What was a liability is now simply garden again.
